Club Fundraisers

LOST WAGES
We are holding our Annual Lost Wages Fundraiser is March 4, 2016. The event includes games like 21, Texas Hold'EM, and much more. There is a silent auction and food and drinks are available for purchase. Lost Wages is a non-gambling event.  Plan to join us from 7PM to 10PM on 3/4/16 at Canyon Crest Event Center for a night of fun, and proceeds are for the kids in the community.

POSTAGE RAFFLE
The Postage Raffle began in the late 1970's as a way to raise funds for the Twin Falls Optimist Club to mail a club bulletin to all club members and PNW District leaders weekly. We sell one hundred raffle tickets for $25.00 each, which grosses $2,500. We raffle off a state-of-the-art big screen TV from Mel Quale's Electronics; they sell it to us at cost. The TV winner also has the option of choosing $1,000 worth of goods in lieu of the TV. The annual Postage Raffle takes place in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The seller of the winning ticket receives a $100 cash reward. Funds raised that aren't used on postage are used to help the club with administrative costs.

TURKEY SHOOT
The club has sponsored the Annual Wayne Kinney Memorial Turkey Shoot for more than 30 years. Wayne Kinney was the owner of Red's Trading Post. The Optimist Club persuaded Wayne to help sponsor a turkey shoot by donating a shotgun to raffle off during the event as a fundraiser for the club. After Wayne passed away, the club decided to honor Wayne by naming the turkey shoot after him. The shoot is held the second or third Sunday in November at the Twin Falls Gun Club. To raise funds for the club, Red's Trading Post donates a gun and club members sell raffle tickets for people to enter to win. The shoot is a fun event for the whole family with shoots specifically for women, children, and more.

WINGS & THINGS ULTIMATE TAILGATE CHALLENGE - September 9th, 2017 at Twin Falls City Park.
FOOD + FOOTBALL = FUN! Come enjoy sampling your favorite tailgating foods. Teams compete for your vote by cooking Wings, BBQ, Dutch Oven, and Chili dishes. Walk around and sample great food, catch the game, visit your friends, and support your community. Our first year was a success and the club was able to donate $20,000 in 2011 and $15,000 in 2012 to O'leary Middle School to help resurface its track. If you'd like to register to participate in the event, you may download the registration form here. Once it's complete, please scan and e-mail it to [email protected]  To see photos of last year's event, click here. This is an awesome September event and we look forward to seeing you there!
